We are proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain, who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities. At Allesley Hall, we provide residential and nursing care for our 44 residents in en suite accommodation, near to the centre of Coventry. The voluntary group nurtures the community garden, runs activities and talks for visitors and acts as an educational resource.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day here, giving our residents the opportunity to get together and enjoy freshly prepared food in a relaxed restaurant-style environment. We always offer two meal options and our chefs will happily prepare something special if nothing on the menu appeals. Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'. We regularly invite local entertainers to come in and provide live entertainment in the evening to our residents. It’s a wonderfully welcoming space, where our passionate team deliver personalised care in a warm, supportive and safe environment.
Your contribution can make our community walled garden proud
The area has been home to various notable people, including Lord Thomas, the banker who founded Coventry’s first hospital. The land itself dates back to the middle ages, and the area was once a deer park. It was later developed into a beautiful park by the famous publisher Thomas, who preferred the Arts and Crafts style to the Georgian mansion that had stood there until his death. Hedge laying is an ancient craft which prolongs the life of hedge, and thickens it . The individual trees and shrubs selected to be laid are cut part of the way through and laid down, the remaining wood in the hinge is enough to allow water and nutrients to pass up the stem. We have a mix of room types, including some with a full en suite wet room and others with an en suite toilet and sink.
Without having to worry about cooking meals, washing clothes or getting the hoover out, you’ll see your loved one truly enjoying life and exploring their full potential. Our residential care is all about providing a special kind of home from home. It’s our way of making sure your loved one continues to live life to its fullest and remains as independent as possible.
